Why I want to become a dominicanLife testimony of novice Mario Shwe
My name is Mario, I am from Myanmar. I am a novice and I am twenty five years old. I have on elder brother and two elder sisters. I am the youngest in my family. Now I am living in Hong Kong and my parents are living in Myanmar.
My parents are U Petru and Daw Catherine and they are farmers. My father passed away already two years ago and my mother is a good cook because she is cooking for the old sisters in St Joseph Convent in Dawngankha, Kayah state, Myanmar. My mother loves me very much because I am the youngest in my family.
Now I am learning English for theology. I am neither a good guitarist nor organist but I know how to play, and also know a little about painting and drawing pictures. I am fat and about five feet five inches tall and I have broad shoulders and a fine build. My complexion is neither fair nor black and my hair is dark.
I have many friends and I work hard at my studies because I am not good at English. So I am trying harder to improve my English. I have classes every day except Sunday. Every now and then I attend my classes regularly and obey my teacher. Moreover, I take care of my health, I play football very often and my hobbies are playing soccer and reading.
My ambition is to become a Dominican friar because this religious life is quite good for me. The reason is that they live in a community. That is why I am living with many brothers in our community from different countries. So these are my personal details.
