Respecting the standards established by the Italian government to avoid getting COVID. The Master of students and the student friars of the Convent “Santísima Trinidad “in Rome organized some community activities replacing this year's summer vacation. These activities have the intention to consolidate the fraternal life of the brothers among themselves and to know some of the most significant places of the Order of Preachers in Italy.

The first excursion coincided with the Solemnity of Saint Dominic de Guzman, therefore our students went to the Church of Santo Domingo in Bologna place where is the tomb of the patriarch of the Order of Preachers. Fr. Giovanni OP., presided over the Eucharist there for all the student friars.

The Dominican friars living in the Convento Santo Domingo invited our students to visit the convent. In the tour of the Convent, they could not miss entering the library, the chapter room where the first two chapters of our Order were held, and they also visited the room that witnessed the last hours of the life of our father Dominic de Guzman. In that emblematic place, the student friars sang the Ospem miram in remembrance of our father. They asked him to fulfill his promise to be more useful to us from heaven. At the end of the tour, the friars from both provinces shared lunch, and finally, the student friars returned to their convent in Rome.
