Dear Brothers
Happy Feast of Our Father St. Dominic.
I want to greet all the brothers from the Province on this special day for all of us and share the joy of having Dominic of Guzman as spiritual Father, a human and divine man.
Last year a lady came up to me and said: "What a holy man St. Dominic was. And I didn't know him!" She was a lady full of joy after reading the life of St. Dominic and meeting such a Saint, human and divine, a man like Jesus.
My desire for this feast is that each one of us is inspired by the spirit of ST. Dominic, to be human and divine men, that we know how to harmonize the two things so that our life is, like that of St. Dominic, a reflection of the Gospel, a reflection of Jesus. When we sacrifice the divine, we dehumanize ourselves, and when we sacrifice the human, we dedivinize ourselves. For St. Dominic, God took him to men and men took him to God. That harmony made St. Dominic attractive to the young and the distant and to a new leaven in a society that had lost the human and the divine. A fraternal greeting and happy St. Dominic Day.
