Last week three student brothers presented their respective thesis at the Faculty of Religious Studies and Philosophy of the University of Saint Joseph, located in the Seminario of the diocese of Macau.
On June 19 Brother Agostinho Mendonca defended his thesis entitled Aristotle and Aquinas on Happiness: A Comparison of Nicomachean Ethics I & X and Summa Theologiae I-II, Questions 1-5.
On June 20, Brother Cesar Lino de Sousa presented his thesis entitled Reconciliation as a Way of Mission.
On June 21, Brother Innocent Han Zaw Htun presented his thesis entitled Developing a Catholic Theology of Suffering in the Context of Burmese Theravada Buddhism.
Brothers presented and defended their respective thesis successfully before a panel of three professors: one acted as the President, another as the Examiner and the third as the Supervisor of the thesis. They will receive their Diploma of Bachelor in Theology during the Graduation program of the University of Saint Joseph, to be held on July 6 at the Ilha Verde campus of the university (USJ).
